Meet Alana Hebert
Licensed Professional Counselor
Now more than ever, I believe that emotional health is just as important as your physical health. For that reason, I have dedicated my career to helping others become the best version of themselves. I am a two-time graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I graduated with a Master’s in Counseling Education. I have served as a School Counselor for over 7 years, serving students ranging from elementary through college.
My passion is working with individuals/couples who struggle with relationship issues, anxiety, stress, anger, depression, self-esteem and other life stressors. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is essential to successful therapy; therefore, I strive to build trust and openness during every session.
My approach to counseling is eclectic, including cognitive behavioral, rational emotive and solution focused therapy. I look forward to meeting you where you are and working together on a journey to a healthier you. Serving anyone from anywhere in the state of Louisiana via tele-health and in-person in the Shreveport/Bossier region.

Individual Therapy
Individual counseling (sometimes called psychotherapy, talk therapy, or treatment) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained mental health clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment.
Child and Adolescent Therapy
Child and adolescent counseling gives kids and teens a safe place to work through mental health challenges. If mental health issues go untreated, adolescents could end up in crisis. Counseling can avert crises. Teenage counseling can also support the well-being of children who aren’t in crisis but could benefit from additional support.
Couples Counseling
Couples therapy is a form of psychotherapy that can help you and your partner improve your relationship. If you are having relationship difficulties, you can seek couples therapy to help rebuild your relationship. Some of the benefits of relationship counseling include, gaining a deeper understanding of your relationship dynamic, gaining an impartial sounding board, and learning strategic and effective coping skills.
Online Counseling
Online counseling is an alternative to traditional face to face counseling, wherein, professional counseling services are provided through the use of Internet. These services are mainly offered via video conferencing. For some, online counseling can be more accessible, more convenient and more comfortable.
Trauma Counseling
Trauma therapy is a form of therapy that can help you deal with the emotional response caused by a traumatic event. Trauma therapy can help you cope with trauma, whether it’s caused by a one-time event, or an ongoing or long-lasting situation.
Family Therapy
Family therapy is a form of talk therapy that focuses on the improvement of relationships among family members. A family unit is a group of people who care about each other. In family therapy, a group can consist of many different combinations of loved ones, such as parents/guardians and their children, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends, kinship caregivers, etc.
Anxiety
Whether you’re suffering from panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, unrelenting worries, or an incapacitating phobia, it’s important to know that you don’t have to live with anxiety and fear.Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the most widely-used therapy for anxiety disorders. Research has shown it to be effective in the treatment of panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder, among many other conditions.
Life Transitions
Adjusting to change can be difficult, as even positive life transitions tend to cause some stress. Over the course of a lifetime, a person can expect to experience a significant amount of change. When life changes prove difficult and lead to stress, anxiety, or depression, a therapist can also help treat those issues and help one explore coping strategies.
